The Guinness Monument - Blinkart
At the beginning of the year I was asked by the wonderful people at Blinkart to create 10 figures in collaboration with the illustrator Rob Hunter for a sculpture for Guinness.
Here’s a bit about the project
‘Blinkart was commissioned by Saatchi and Saatchi to create a physical piece to celebrate the history of Guinness from 1759 to the present day, as well as making an accompanying film to launch their new brand strategy “Made Of More”. In response we built a twelve foot, two ton sculptured plinth which depicts the story of Guinness in the round, conceived and designed by David Wilson.’
The ‘Guinness Monument’ is now installed in their factory in Dublin and the project has been featured in the June issue of Monograph, Creative Review’s pull out publication, where you can see a double page spread of the making of my porcelain figures.
To find out more about the project and the other great artists and designers involved check out Blinkart!

Max Joseph Magazine - Wagner Der Ring Des Niberlung
Last year I was commission to create two paintings for the wonderful opera magazine Max Joseph for their Issue on Wagners epic Der Ring Des Niberlungen that is currently running at the The National Opera of Munich.
Max Joseph magazine puts opera into the context of modern art and contemporary lifestyle to try to bring opera to a new audience.
My paintings were inspired by the stories of Siegfried, Brunhilde and the Rhine maidens from the libretto of The Ring Cycle.
The magazine has now been published and you can see it in it’s online form or buy it from here
